You have a point, but its not fair to say that every movie was a fuck up, what about Street Fighter 2 the animated movie, or Final Fantasy Advent Children, or Silent Hill, or Dead or Alive (you might disagree with me on this one being a woman). I think the bigger problem in the movie industry is the shitty movies coming out about all the shitty movies that have come out about comic books, like Fantastic 4, The Hulk (Ang Lee is the shittiest director in the world), Spiderman 3, etc.
